The aims of primary care are to provide the patient with a broad spectrum of preventive and curative care over a period of time and to coordinate all the care that the patient receives.

Adela Fernandez-Mirza, M.D.

Dr. Adela Fernandez-MirzaDr. Fernandez-Mirza joins our team from a diverse background, with training in General Surgery. She attended St. Matthew’s University School of Medicine and after several medical missions abroad to Nigeria, Dominica and Bolivia, she discovered her love of surgery. She began her residency training at Brown University School of Medicine in Providence, Rhode Island and completed it at University of South Florida. During the course of residency, she earned numerous awards and recognitions to include Humanism and Excellence in Teaching, induction into the Gold Humanism Honor Society, Thoracic Advanced Techniques in VATS from Brigham & Women’s Hospital, and was the recipient of the Society of Thoracic Surgeon Scholarship.

Her passion for medicine and surgery laid the groundwork for serving the underprivileged, both at home and abroad. In addition to practicing medicine, she performs pro-bono work for political asylum seekers in countries where atrocities exist. She is committed to providing quality healthcare to her patients and seeks high standards for their care. She is fluent in English and Spanish.

She has conducted research, co-published with world renowned surgeons, and presented at various national and international conferences. Among these publishings and presentations are Breast conserving therapy for breast cancer, Gene therapy for lung cancer, and Bronchial sleeve resection as an effective alternative for patients with primary and metastatic pulmonary lesions at the General Thoracic Surgery Club Conference. Most recently presented The value of the IMPELLA device for the recovery of a marginal cardiac surgical patient at the European Society for Cardiovascular and Endovascular Surgery Conference in Nice, France.

Dr. Fernandez-Mirza strives to provide a caring and humanely compassionate environment for the medical needs of her patients. She approaches medicine and surgery with enthusiasm on its constant evolution of improvement.

Amanda Berg, M.D.

amanda Dr. Berg is a board certified internist. Originally from Michigan, she completed medical school in Detroit at Wayne State University, then moved to New Orleans for her intern year at Tulane, only to return to Detroit and finish her residency training at Detroit Medical Center after hurricane Katrina. After finishing her training she followed the rest of her family down to Florida for the sun and warm weather.

Dr. Berg is passionate about metabolic syndrome, inluding elevated cholesterol, diabetes, and hypertension often working closely with patients on diet and nutrition to help improve these medical condtions. She is currently working on a book about the most common primary care diagnoses.

Amy Seinfeld, D.O.

rosen Dr. Amy Seinfeld is a Board Certified Family Physician that graduated from Nova Southeastern University College of Osteopathic Medicine in 1998. After completing her Family Medicine Residency at North Shore Hospital in Long Island, NY, she returned to South Florida to work gaining experience in both private practice and urgent care.

Pursuing her interest in health and wellness and helping those in need, she traveled to the West Coast and spent time in the Salinas Valley area working with migrant farm workers and the underserved communities. She prides herself in being a devoted team member and is committed to working together to promote a positive environment in her medical practice and help her patients achieve the optimum in their health, wellness and quality of life.

As an experienced dancer and a Certified Zumba Instructor, maintaining a healthy lifestyle is a way of life. She also enjoys spending time with her family which includes three children, her Australian Shepherd, JAZZ, and her horses.

Andrea Ramsay, M.D.

ramsey As a young girl, Andrea J. Ramsay had a dream and desire to become a special kind of Doctor. Growing up in Miami, Florida, second oldest of 5 children she worked diligently to attend the University of Florida and St. George’s University School of Medicine and earn her Doctorate of Medicine. Dr. Ramsay gained broad educational experience with Rotations in Newark, NJ, Wards Island, NY, Morristown, NJ and Brooklyn, NY. As Dr. Ramsay was deciding her specialty she pursued training in Surgery, Emergency Medicine, Obstetrics and Gynecology, and Plastic Surgery.

Family Medicine became her true calling. After spending a year in Buffalo, NY for Family Medicine Internship, she came back home to complete her residency at the University of Miami. The Jackson Memorial experience gave her the comfort to fluently speak medical Spanish. After completing her Residency, she signed on in Pembroke Pine’s reputable multi-purpose practice. Ramsay practiced Family Medicine as well as Medical Research. This is where she focused on management of chronic, medical illnesses, health prevention, minor surgical procedures, cosmetics and rejuvenation with Botox & Fillers, hormone replacement as well as weight loss and smoking cessation programs.

Andrea Sciberras, D.O.

Meet the brilliant and dedicated woman behind the stethoscope. Sciberras Internal Medicine was established in 2012 by the highly qualified Dr. Andrea Sciberras. Contact her for all of your needs regarding women’s health, men’s health, LGBT medicine, osteopathic medicine and more. In 2003, Dr. Sciberras graduated from the Kirksville College of Osteopathic Medicine; after which she completed her internship at Maimonides Medical Center in New York. During her internship she developed a passion for HIV medicine and currently sub-specializes in it.

Carmen M. Hurtado, M.D.

Dr. Carmen Hurtado grew up in the Washington, DC area after moving to the U.S. from Peru at the age of ten. She completed her undergraduate studies at The George Washington University in Washington, DC and graduated magna cum laude with a B.A. in Psychology and a minor in Biology. She then attended The George Washington University School of Medicine and subsequently completed her internship and residency at Cedars-Sinai and UCLA Medical Center in Los Angeles, CA. She is board certified in Internal Medicine. Since completing her residency in 2004, Dr. Hurtado has worked as an internist at several prominent hospitals, including Georgetown University Hospital, Johns Hopkins and most recently, Cleveland Clinic Florida. She is a member of the American College of Physicians, American Society of Internal Medicine, and the American Medical Association among other organizations.
Dr. Hurtado has a special interest in women’s health, nutrition/weight management and preventive medicine. She enjoys getting to know her patients and their families over the years and building a long-lasting relationship with them. She believes in practicing medicine as an equal partnership between her and her patients with the goal of helping to improve and maintain the health of her patients.
Dr. Hurtado is fluent in English and Spanish. Her hobbies include cooking, baking, reading and running. She is married and has 3 children.

Cindy Katanick, D.O.

cindy I was born and raised in Detroit, Michigan and watched Marcus Wellby, MD as a kid. Since then I always knew I wanted to become a doctor. I began to pursue that by attending Michigan State University for my undergraduate studies. Following that I attended Medical School at the University of Osteopathic Medicine and Health Sciences in Des Moines. Iowa.

My internship was done at the Oakland General Hospital in Madison Heights, Michigan and my Family Practice residency at Southeastern Medical Center in North Miami Beach Florida, which brought me to Florida.

Laura Peralta, D.O.

peralta Dr. Laura Peralta graduated from Nova Southeastern College of Osteopathic Medicine. She performed her internship at Universal Medical Center. She is a member of the American Osteopathic Association and Florida Osteopathic Medical Association.

A long time Florida resident, Dr. Peralta graduated from McArthur High School in Hollywood, Florida. She obtained her Bachelor’s Degree in Nursing from Texas Christian University, then returned to Florida where she worked as an Emergency Room nurse before starting Medical School. Dr. Peralta is fluent in both English and Spanish.

Lea Harracksingh M.D.

Dr. Lea Harracksingh is board certified in internal medicine and practices in Plantation, Florida. Dr Harracksingh attended University of Miami where she studied biology and then received her medical license from University of Miami School of Medicine in 1997. She received the award for Outstanding Academic Achievement in Internal Medicine in 1994 and has been impressing her colleges and patients since then. She has been practicing in Plantation for over seventeen years and enjoys helping patients keep their health great and their life prosperous. Dr Harracksingh is a compassionate physician with a fondness for her patients and their family members as well.

Majorie Lewis, M.D.


DR. Majorie Lewis has been board certified in family medicine since 1999. She graduated from the University Of Medicine And Dentistry Of New Jersey-Robert Wood Johnson Hospital and has practiced medicine in South Florida since 1999.
She prides herself on being a beloved team member and enjoys working with her highly valued group of medical assistants. She enjoys a relaxed style of medical practice. Always optimistic and hopeful, she looks for the best in everyone she meets. She firmly believes that right attitude and right believing leads to a healthy, happy and fulfilled life.
Some of her interests are afterschool tutoring, creative writing and nature photography.
She looks forward to helping children and adults attain and maintain a healthy, productive and wonderful life.

Morris Epstein, M.D.

Morris Epstein, a practicing Family Practitioner in Plantation, FL. Dr. Epstein graduated from University of Miami Leonard M Miller School of Medicine in 1979 and has been in practice for 39 years. Morris Epstein, M.D. is originally from Kingston, Jamaica, where he likes to visit with family and friends when he can. Dr. Epstein is board certified in Family Medicine and is happy to see new patients at his practice in the Medial Arts Building behind Westside Hospital.

Ransky Allonce M.D.


Dr Allonce graduated from the state university, faculty of medicine of Haiti in 1992. Dr. Allonce has worked for the last 20 years as a
hospitalist, urgent care/emergency room physician, primary care doctor. He lived and worked in New Jersey, New York, Pennsylvania and Puerto Rico.

Dr. Allonce is fluent in English, French, creole and Spanish.

Dr. Allonce loves cooking, reading and playing classical guitar.

Richard Rosen, D.O.

rosen Dr. Richard Rosen is Board Certified in Family Medicine, and has been in practice in the South Florida area for over 30 years. Dr. Rosen believes in personalized care for each individual patient as he is always courteous, compassionate, and professional. Dr. Rosen believes in you being proactive in your healthcare and takes a preventative approach to treating all of his patients.

Dr. Rosen also has vast experience in Bariatric Medicine and is the creator of the “Option 2 Diet.” He has developed and medically supervised this weight loss regime for over 15 years. Dr. Rosen also offers cosmetic procedures such as Botox and Radiesse. He is on staff at Memorial West and Memorial Pembroke Hospital for your convenience. Dr. Rosen was voted by the readers of the Sun-Sentinel as Broward County’s “Best Family Doctor” in 2011.

Robert S. Tomchik, M.D.


With 35 years of experience as a family practice physician, Dr. Tomchik is a graduate of the Pritzker School of Medicine at the University of Chicago, trained in Family Practice at the University of South Carolina in Columbia, South Carolina and completed his residency in Preventive Medicine at the University of Michigan.

His clinical experiences have ranged from providing basic primary care services in outpatient settings, to emergency room care and inpatient hospital services. He has provided family planning services such as prenatal care, delivering children as well as hospice and patient in-hospital care. He has provided subspecialized medical care for patients with rheumatologic disorders. He has conducted clinical research as a Principle Investigator and clinician for pharmaceutical companies in hypertension, diabetes and neurology. His studies at the University of Miami, School of Medicine, were published in the Journal of the American Medical Association in 1993.

Past positions have included serving as Chief of Staff at the Crow Agency Indian Hospital in Montana, Director of the Health Department in Kalamazoo, MI and Lee County, FL and Medical Epidemiologist for the Broward County Health Department in Fort Lauderdale, FL. Dr. Tomchik also has also worked as the Medical Director of the Memorial Hospital Primary Care Clinic of Hollywood, FL and Regional Medical Director for Humana in Broward County.

Robin F. Saltz, DO

Dr. Saltz is a native New Yorker who moved down to South Florida during the same year that Disney World opened in 1971. She received her BA in Biology from Jacksonville University in 1980 and graduated from the College of Osteopathic Medicine and Surgery, now known as The University of Osteopathic Medicine and Health Sciences in Des Moines, Iowa in 1984 with an outstanding award in

She has been practicing family medicine in South Florida for the past 30 years and has been a member of the American Osteopathic Association and the Florida Osteopathic Board of Family Physicians when she became certified in 1998. Dr. Saltz was on the teaching staff at Nova Southeastern University in the mid 1990’s, where she educated second-year medical students on physical diagnosis and attended to patients at the schools’ clinic. She continues her desire to inform the public about pertinent medical issues by giving brief online lectures on topics such as hypertension, diabetes, and headaches.


Ruchika Gadh, D.O.

Dr.Rundeep Gadh, born and raised in South Florida, is a huge fan of the Miami Dolphins and the Miami Heat. He is married to Dr. Ruchika Gadh and has three beautiful daughters. In addition to being a sports fan, he enjoys traveling, swimming, skiing and spending valuable time with his family and friends.

Shaynee Golin, D.O.

Shaynee S. Golin, D.O. is an Osteopathic Physician who is a specialist in Internal Medicine for the past 24 years, most of which has been in Plantation, Florida. Dr. Golin had decided by the time she started elementary school that she wanted to become a doctor.

Dr. Golin received her B.A. in English Literature, while also fulfilling her pre-medical course requirements, from Tulane University in New Orleans, Louisiana. Dr. Golin received her Doctor of Osteopathic Medicine from Nova Southeastern College of the Health Sciences. She then went to Dayton, Ohio after she was accepted into an accelerated program in Internal Medicine at Grandview Hospital and Medical Center and was a Chief Resident her final year.

Dr. Golin believes it is most important that her patients understand their medical problems and encourages all of her patients to ask questions. Her favorite and most important question she likes to ask is: “What would you do if you or someone you loved had to deal with this same medical issue?”.

Dr. Golin believes that the most important bond between a doctor and a patient is TRUST, followed by true compassion for the person sitting in the exam room.

Steve Cimerberg, D.O.

Steve Cimerberg D.O., FACOFP has been practicing in south Florida since 1987. He is licensed in Florida and Nevada, Board Certified, and a Fellow of the American College of Osteopathic Family Physicians. He has been a leader in his field, an educator, and patient advocate for several decades. Prior to joining Associates MD and as the medical director for a large group practice and MRI center, he led his team in implementing quality and efficiency while lowering patient costs and expanding access to care. Dr. Cimerberg is Past-President of the American College of Osteopathic Family Physicians for the state of Florida, the Broward County Osteopathic Medical Association, and the Nova Southeastern College of Osteopathic Medicine Alumni Association.

As an educator he has spoken at numerous national conventions and seminars, teaching physicians as well as nurses and physicians assistants how to augment their treatment and procedural skills to keep up with the rapidly changing medical environment. In addition to, he has served as Clinical Assistant Professor at Nova Southeastern College of Osteopathic Medicine.

As a patient advocate, Dr. Cimerberg has served on numerous committees for two of the largest insurance companies in the United States governing physician peer review, quality management, patient satisfaction, and oversight, all with an eye toward improving care and the access to care while lowering costs.

Brittany Cianelli, PA-C

Brittany Cianelli, a south Florida native, studied at the University of Florida in Gainesville where she earned a Bachelor of Science in Psychology, with an emphasis on Human Behavior. After graduating from University of Florida, Brittany attended The University of Kentucky in Lexington where she earned a Master of Science in Physician Assistant Studies. She soon began her career by working at one of Atlanta’s highest volume emergency rooms and although she enjoyed the fast paced atmosphere of acute care, she never felt at “home”. After many years away from family and a few harsh winters, Brittany made the leap to move back to sunny Fort Lauderdale. Once settling back, Brittany worked in the tri-county areas as an urgent care provider but realized she prefers forging and fostering lasting relationships with her patients, getting to know them and providing long term care. Thus, Brittany joined Associates MD where her main focus is to provide the absolute best care for each and every patient in a timely manner while focusing on disease prevention, management and health promotion. She is committed to offering her patients a comfortable and pleasant experience for each and every visit.

Brittany is a Board Certified Physician Assistant and accredited by The National Commission on Certification of Physician Assistants.

In her free time, Brittany enjoys traveling, volunteering, spending time with family and friends, being outdoors with her beloved Labrador, Timmy, and remaining active in the south Florida community.


Deborah Kuiper-Tomas, PA-C

Licensed Physician Assistant

debiDebi has a Masters Degree in Health Science from Nova Southeastern University as well as a degree in Dietetic Technology. She enjoys working with Geriatrics and Nursing Home patients on many different issues especially focusing on Diabetes and Nutrition.

Debi has an extensive background in nutrition and diabetic education as she has taught diabetic education classes in the community. For the convenience of all our patients Debi can perform all Well Women’s Visits regardless of who their Doctor is. Debi is an avid NFL Football follower, being a lifetime Jacksonville Jaguars “Diehard” Fan.


Jean Herold Noel, ARNP

Board-Certified Family Nurse Practitioner

Jean Herold Noel is a foreign Medical Graduate, born in Haiti who is currently practicing at Dr. Tomchik office in Miramar. After Mr.Noel graduated high school, he went to medical school and graduated in 2006. He left his native country in 2008 and moved to the U.S to pursue his interest in medicine. Jean Harold enrolled in 2012 in the Combined BSN-MSN program at the Florida International University where he received a BSN followed by a MSN. This program is specifically designed for Foreign Educated Physicians (FEP) who want to care for patients in the United States. During his time at FIU, he received several honors and awards. He is currently an Advanced Registered Nurse Practitioner with a specialty in Family Practice. Jean Herold loves his patients and enjoys practicing alongside Dr. Tomchik. He is fluent in Creole, French and English. His passion is simply to care for his patients. He spends his free time with family and close friends.


Jeff Spindler, NP-C

Dr. Jeff 1Jeff Spindler studied at Florida State University where he received a BS in Political Science and Communications. Upon graduation, he attended Florida Atlantic University graduating Magna Cum Laude in the BSN program. Jeff worked over 6 years in a Trauma 1 hospital located in Fort Lauderdale providing acute care to hundreds of patients. One aspect he disliked about nursing was that once the patient was discharged from the hospital, the nurse no longer participates in the plan of care. So Jeff elected to advance his formal education and pursue a Master’s degree in the Family Nurse Practitioner program at South University, where he graduated with High Honors. Becoming a Family Nurse Practitioner provided him the opportunity to have a more primary role in the care of his patients. As a primary care provider, he has been able to deliver quality healthcare to families throughout their life span and health continuum. His plan of care objectives for his patients are based on health promotion and disease prevention.

Jeff Spindler is a Board-Certified Family Nurse Practitioner, and a member of the American Academy of Nurse Practitioners.

Growing in South Florida, he continues to stay active in many community organizations. During his free time, Jeff plays multiple sports and attends the gym daily. He is avid sports fan of many Florida teams including the Florida State Seminoles, Miami Dolphins, and the Miami Heat.”


Neil Buckosh, PA-C

Extensive experience working in the medical-legal arena by regularly performing review of patient/client records for physicians and attorneys alike.

Nicha Douglas, PA-C


Nicha.picNicha Douglas, is approaching 2 years as a certified Physician Assistant. Nicha attended SUNY Downstate Medical Center’s Physician Assistant program in New York, where she earned her degree in Physician Assistant Studies, served as Class President and received the Clinical Excellence Award. She also earned a Bachelor’s of Science degree in Biology and Health Services Administration. Nicha began her career in Emergency Medicine at Kings County Hospital, one of New York City’s busiest and largest hospitals, then she returned to Florida to enjoy a career in Primary Care. Nicha has a passion for Primary Care medicine fueled by the belief that it is the building block of life and vitality.

Nicha, born in California to parents from Trinidad and Tobago, enjoys playing the steel pan, being actively involved in the South Florida Caribbean community, and spending quality time with family and friends. She has a special interest in Holistic Medicine and Women’s Health. Recently married, she is enjoying her new life and looks forward to their future here in Florida.

Paul Nava, ARNP

Board-Certified Family Nurse Practitioner

Mr. Paul Nava is a Primary Care provider that obtained his ARNP degree from Florida International University. He has more than ten years of experience in both clinical and academic settings. Before becoming a Nurse Practitioner, he worked as a Registered Nurse at Northside Hospital’s Cardiology Intermediate Critical Care Unit (ICCU). Mr. Nava had his clinical training at Mount Sinai Hospital, and worked as an Acute Care Clinician in Spain. In recent years, he finished his degree and Board Certification in the state of Florida. Mr. Nava is also fluent in Spanish.

Ritesh Patel, PA-C

Board-Certified Physician Assistant

Ritesh Patel is a Board Certified Physician Assistant. He began his pursuit to practice Medicine at the University of Texas at Austin, where he graduated with University Honors and received a Bachelor of Arts in Biology with a minor in Business. Ritesh then uprooted to Fort Lauderdale, Florida to attend Nova Southeastern University’s PA Program. He obtained two Masters Degrees: Master of Public Health and Master of Medical Sciences, graduating both programs with Honors. Ritesh remains active in his profession as a member of the Florida Academy of Physician Assistants as well as the American Academy of Physician Assistants. With a background in Public Health, Ritesh tailors his practice of Medicine by taking into account multiple environmental, social, cultural, and physical factors to create the best treatment plans for his patients. In his free time, he enjoys spending time with family and friends, going to the gym, and anything that involves the beach.

Sylvia Fernandez, PA-C

Worked as clinical laboratory scientist at Cedars Medical Center and Integrated Regional Laboratories prior to obtaining Masters of Health Sciences degree at Barry University in 2004.
Certified through NCCPA and have practiced Family Medicine in the Plantation area for over 10 years.

Adjunct clinical preceptor for Barry University Physician Assistant program for 2 years.
