
Kirenia Santiuste is a Board-Certified Family Nurse Practitioner by the American Academy of Nurse Practitioners, holding an Autonomous Practice Endorsement in the state of Florida due to her vast knowledge and expertise. Kirenia has been practicing as a Primary Care Provider since 2016 and holds a Master’s in Science of Nursing, Baccalaureate in Science of Nursing, from Nova Southeastern University where she received The Dean’s Award for the Academic Excellence due to her stellar performance as well as the Chancellor’s List Award for 5 consecutive years. Kirenia also practices as a Women’s Nurse Practitioner, certified colposcopist, and mentor which was granted due to more than 4,000 of direct clinical hours in an OB-GYN private practice. Kirenia completed her Doctorate in Nursing Practice core components and combined it with a PhD-candidature at Walden University. Previously, she was a renowned Registered Nurse for more than 10 years in Miami-Dade and Broward counties while holding high-tech, wound care, colostomy care, and Psych endorsements and certifications for Palmetto GBA and CMS.
Kirenia was born and raised in Cuba where she decided at the age of 5 that she will dedicate her life to the art of medicine and her patients (dolls). Her parents were the engine that would push her to pursue her dreams. Kirenia attended the School of Medicine in her natal city bringing several years of competence, experience, evidence-based practice (EBP), and endless commitment to AssociatesMD and the community.
Kirenia has been extensively recognized by her colleagues, nursing organizations, and patients for her professionalism, charisma, leadership, patient care, excellence, and commitment to the clinical practice, including the NCQA for the prevention of Diabetes and data measurement. Recently, she was awarded by Strathmore “Who is Who” company, which provides nationwide recognition to stellar members of healthcare organizations. Kirenia has been an MSN nursing faculty, preceptor, and DNP chair for notorious universities in South Florida. Among her many honors, she was awarded as a Worldwide Leader in Healthcare (North America, 2013-present), the American Nurses Association, the American Academy of Nurse Practitioners, Sigma Theta Tau International Honor Society of Nursing, South Florida Council of Advanced Practice Nurses, Delta Epsilon Iota Academic Honor Society, and the South Florida Council of Advanced Practice Nurses.
In her personal time, Kirenia loves spending time with her beloved family. She enjoys reading, going to the movies, and taking care of her orchids, her favorite flowers. She is also an active member of her son’s extracurricular activities, school PTA, and the community.
