Yamilka Lemagne Pichardo, MSN-ED, APRN-AG was born and raised in Cuba where she obtained a Bachelor of Science in Nursing at Science Medical School Camaguey, in 1997. She has over 20 years of nursing experience in various setting from pediatrics to adults. Prior to her career in the United States she was working in Jamaica as a nurse for 7 years. After her time in Jamaica she moved to Florida and had been working in different settings including education.
In 2013 she decided to start her first master’s degree in nursing education at University of Southernmost Florida. Although Yamika loved nursing education, she did not want to be encapsulated in the educational setting and in 2015 she decided to pursue a second master’s degree in Adult Gerontology Nurse Practitioner at South University. She graduated in 2017 from this program and has been treating patients clinically since then.
Yamilka is certified by the American Academy of Nurse Practitioner. In her spare time, she enjoys spending time with her family, traveling, attending her son’s baseball games and going to the beach.
Yamilka is fluent in Spanish and English and she is very grateful and honored to be part of Associates MD Medical Group.
