Matthew Teltser, MD

Bio

Matthew Teltser, MD, FACC, is a board-certified cardiologist with over 20 years of experience. His expertise includes diagnosing and treating cardiovascular diseases, lipidology, nuclear cardiology, and preventive cardiology. Dr.Teltser serves patients at AssociatesMD in Davie, Florida. 

His success with patients stems from his philosophy that patients must be active partners in their treatment. An open dialogue allows his patients to make informed decisions with a clearly defined joint plan.

A native of New Jersey, Dr. Teltser graduated with honors from Rutgers University in New Brunswick and earned the "Rutgers Scholar" title through a senior research project at Rutgers New Jersey Medical School in Newark, where he also completed medical school. 

After graduating, Dr. Teltser moved to Pennsylvania and became board-certified in internal medicine after training at the Medical College of Pennsylvania in Philadelphia. During his fourth year at MCP, Dr. Teltser was an internal medicine instructor while completing a clinical pharmacology fellowship. He continued his journey southward and completed his training in cardiology at the University of Florida Health Science Center Jacksonville.

In addition to his board certification in cardiology, he is a board-certified lipidologist (specialist in cholesterol disorders). He is also board-certified in nuclear cardiology, heart imaging techniques using radioisotopes (radioactive tracers). He is strongly interested in preventive cardiology and is a member of the ASPC (American Society of Preventive Cardiology).

As the medical director of A&R Research, Dr. Teltser supervises several medical research studies utilizing the latest drugs for treating cholesterol, hypertension, gout, COPD, and diabetes. He is dedicated to finding the highest level of care for his patients.
