Evans Mercier, MD is a general practitioner with over 25 years of diverse experience in the medical field. In 1997 he graduated from St. George’s University School of Medicine with honors and continued to study molecular biology, genetics, and biotechnology, with a graduate degree from Harvard. Most recently, in the past four years, Dr. Mercier has been practicing emergency medicine at Ashford Presbyterian Community Hospital in San Juan, Puerto Rico. Before his professional experience out of the country, Dr. Mercier practiced in various states throughout the United States and is very well traveled both in the U.S. and abroad.
Throughout his career he has been a humanitarian and philanthropist which has led him to being able to understand and connect with all different types of patients with diverse cultures and backgrounds. He has held the position of Chief Health Officer for the Department of Corrections and went on to practice primary care locally in Miami and Dania Beach, Florida. Dr. Mercier prides himself on his extensive knowledge in preventive care, treatment of common medical conditions as well as urgent and complicated medical problems. He specializes in comprehensive medical care for patients of all ages and speaks fluent English, French, Spanish and Haitian Creole.
